Crying for Comfort

Crying for Comfort - Conference Details - 5th to 7th March 2004
 Venue:
Quinta Conference Centre, Shropshire

Dates:
4th - 6th March 2005

The Second Joint National Conference for Christians in Nursing, Midwifery and the Allied Health Professions

"There are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon …who pay no attention to you, O King. They neither serve your gods nor the worship the image of gold you have set up." Daniel 3:12

Daniel and his friends were exiles in a land hostile to their God. They worked for the king of Babylon and were asked to do things that their faith did not allow. They lived hundreds of years ago, and yet our situation, working and studying in Healthcare in the UK today, has some striking parallels. How do we remain distinctive as people of God when temptation to conform to the world is all around and morale in the NHS, Social Services and similar establishments is so low? Come and join with other healthcare professionals, assistants and students and learn more about being a Christian in the world of healthcare, through the main talks and discussions on the Book of Daniel and in seminars on specific issues. There will also be a resource area with books and information relevant to Healthcare in this country and overseas. This is a great opportunity to meet other Christians within your profession and strengthen relationships between the professions. All while relaxing in the beautiful hills of the Welsh/Shropshire border!
